Nearly 300 Local and International Companies to Showcase Cutting Edge Innovations at the Annual Electricx, Solar-Tec and MEFSEC Exhibitions

Egypt’s longest running power events, along with sister event MEFSEC, will feature cutting-edge innovations in electricity and fire, safety and security over the three-day event.

Cairo, Egypt – 03 December 2017: Today marked the first day of Electricx, Egypt’s longest running power event, alongside its sister events Solar-Tec and the Middle East Fire, Safety and Security Exhibition (MEFSEC). The exhibitions are running from 3 – 5 December at the Cairo International Conference Centre.​

Under the patronage of H.E. Sherif Ismail, Egypt's Prime Minister; H.E. Dr. Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Electricity and New Energy; H.E. General Mohamed El Assar, Minister of Military Production; Dr Mohammed Hisham Al-Sharif, Minister of Local Development, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Housing Utilities and Urban Communities and Dr. Ali Al Meselhy, Minister of Supply and Internal Trading. Electrix and Solar-Tec will gather thousands of high-profile industry experts to discuss a wide-range of topics related to Egypt’s electricity network, while fire, safety and security are the primary focus areas for MEFSEC. The three events combined will feature approximately 300 exhibitors, around two dozen VIP speakers and representation from nearly 20 countries.

With demand for electricity rapidly growing in Egypt, Electricx and Solar-Tec feature the latest equipment and services from the generation, transmission and distribution, lighting and renewable sectors. With more than 250 exhibitors, Electricx and Solar-Tec are showcasing the latest products and equipment to thousands of energy experts first-hand, supporting the development of the industry and business across Egypt and North Africa.

Featured Electricx exhibitors include Omicron, ABB and Megger and Elsewedy Electric, while Solar-Tec will feature exhibitors including Ingeteam, JA Solar, Jinko Solar.

Co-hosted by Egytec Engineering and Informa Exhibitions, this year marks the 27th edition of Electricx, the 15th edition of MEFSEC and the 7th edition of Solar-Tec, North Africa’s leading solar energy exhibition. The three-day exhibitions are held in conjunction with a free-to-attend conference featuring industry experts from around the globe who will gather to discuss a wide range of topics relevant to their respective sectors including current trends, case studies, the latest sectoral innovations and opportunities for the future.
